I like the white better since it is a little easier for me to read but if you like a black dial you won't go wrong here. I really like the rotating bezel inside the crystal for timing short events such as baking etc.. This watch appears to be very well made and has made me a fan of Orient watches . Everything functions perfectly and the gain in time is about 1 1/2 to 2 min a month for the white dial and maybe 3 minutes a month for the black dial I have . All automatic watches will gain a little time and these are exceptionally good about not gaining much. I have read many reviews on other brands costing more that list a gain of 2-3 min a day . It is easy to set the date, day, and time. The luminous markers work fine too . I couldn't be more pleased with it at the price . For those worried about sizing the band don't be. These Orient CEM60001B watch is going to be a gift for my father-in-law. The watch actually looks a lot better in person than all the pictures I could fine in the net. Again I am in shock of the quality of Orient watches, it looks and feels like at list a $300 dollar watch. Now I am no expert or anything but after doing a lot of research comparing other watches, were they get their parts and such, I have realize that Orient is so far one of the best choices I have made in regards to buying stuff. I did a test with both the mako and these watch with my atomic watch(use mostly for sports).The test with the mako has been for almost three weeks with only 2 sec faster and the EM60001B in two days no change that I can tell yet.
